Lasonya Poindexter was looking for a job as a babysitter, or at least or at least that’s what she wanted the parents to believe. Ashley and Christian Still found Lasonya’s ad online, on a Facebook group dedicated to babysitters and asked her to come over for an interview. At first glance, she seemed to be a trustworthy person with many qualities, responsible, decent, capable, and calm. She got the job but apparently she proved to be a truly evil presence. Lasonya Poindexter contacted a couple and she began the adoption procedures for the daughter of the two parents who initially hired her. That’s right, she wanted to give the little girl up for adoption to some strangers, without Ashley and Christian knowing, but soon enough they will find out. She made four trips to a different city, telling the parents who were interested in adopting that the girl was being abused by her natural parents and that she had been left in her care.
At one point, the two became suspicious and contacted the girl’s parents who were simply shocked to hear what Lasonya was up to. They went to the police immediately and reported Lasonya, and she was arrested shortly after for attempted kidnapping. Her reasons are still unknown, she didn’t speak to the police and most probably she will be put behind bars for her actions.
