The professor’s response to the young woman’s absence impressed a lot of people.
In addition to being the mother of a few-month-old girl, 21-year-old Morgan Kelly works at a restaurant at night and attends classes at the University of Tennessee during the day, and she manages to have time for herself too, even if it’s a very small window.
She is happy and content to strive for a better life, both for herself and her baby. Due to the super busy schedule, she failed to reach an important test. She sent an e-mail to the teacher apologizing, explaining the situation, and asking her to offer her an alternative. The teacher understood perfectly, because she is also a parent and she answered Kelly’s email in a very warm way:

We were surprised I didn’t see you in class today.
I’m sorry about the problems with your child. If you still have trouble finding someone to stay with Korbyn in the future, know that you can bring her to class.
