An elderly woman was sitting in a cafe waiting for her coffee, she seemed to have little left and burst into tears. The bartender noticed, read below to see what happened, it’s a story that really deserves:
“We used to work in a cafe, and one day an elderly woman came in. I had never seen her, but she looked a little sad. She didn’t look like the type to come over there. So I was curious what was going on, I asked her and she said she was fine.
She ordered a coffee.

I realized something was wrong. I ask her if she’s sure she’s okay, she looks at me with tears in her eyes and says, no, I’m not okay. My husband is dying and I’m trying to learn how to live without him.
Then she told me that her husband did everything for her – he ran the house, refueled the car, he was a Handsome Man, but now he was dying. My heart broke at that moment. I poured her a coffee and gave it to her. She wanted to pay for the coffee, but I told her it was from the house.
The woman looked at me and burst into tears.
The cafe was practically empty at that time, so we had time to talk. My boss hugged her and the woman told me that what I did was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for her. It wasn’t a big deal, I just gave her a coffee. It didn’t cost me anything, I just didn’t ask for money.
But the story doesn’t end here.
Later that afternoon, my shift leader called me. He had just received a call from a 20-year-old girl who had asked about me. She had said that her grandmother, the woman I had served this morning, came and told her about our meeting.
The girl kept thanking us with all her heart, she said that I changed her whole perspective on the situation she was going through. When I heard, I was out of breath.
But it’s not over yet.
Three weeks later we were working on a Sunday morning. Even between two very crowded moments, a huge group enters the cafe. Large groups are hard to serve, so I smiled at them and was getting ready to take care of everyone when an elderly woman comes up to me and takes my hand. She asks me if I remember who she is, she was the woman I gave her a coffee.
I ask about her husband, and she answers: Son, that’s why I came here. I have two things to say now. First: I want you to know that my husband is dead. The funeral was yesterday and the whole family came to town for it. Two: I wanted to share this with you: I want you to know that I told everyone the story of what you did to me with that cup of coffee. You may not know that, but that cup of coffee changed my whole outlook on my husband’s life. I wanted to thank you for that. Son, I want to introduce you to my family. They have something to tell you.
He turns to the group.
One by one they came and shook my hand, and thanked me for what I had done. At this point, everyone was crying. It was the strangest thing. A cup of coffee changed everything, and in doing so allowed me to celebrate the life of a stranger I had never met, along with his family. ”
