The granddaughter had come to her grandmother because she was very upset – her grandmother gave her an egg, a carrot, and a coffee
Grandparents are very wise people and it is always good to listen to their advice because they want the best for us and they want us not to repeat their mistakes, but to learn from them. Those lucky enough to have grandparents know this very well. They must be respected for all the efforts they have made throughout their lives, for the beautiful way in which they have raised their family, and for the valuable teachings provided. This article is about a very beautiful way in which a grandmother highlighted the benefits of hard trials in a lifetime.
It is about a young married woman, very unhappy because of the marriage she was in. She was very disappointed that her husband cheated on her very often, despite her attempts to strengthen the relationship. Even with her effort, he showed no signs of change and his infidelity was making her so upset. She often went to her grandmother for advice and for someone to listen to her. On one of the visits, when the girl was very upset and did not know if there was any point in continuing this toxic relationship. Her grandmother thought of a unique way to teach her a lesson.

“After I finished talking, the grandmother boiled three pots of water, and when they started to boil she put a carrot in the first pot, in the second an egg, and in the third coffee beans.
After 20 minutes she turned off the stove and put everything she had boiled on the table. Then the old woman asked: “What do you see?”. I said: “Carrot, egg, coffee”.
The old woman wanted me to see that the carrot became soft, the egg hardened, and the coffee beans became flavored coffee. So I immediately told my grandmother, “But what does that mean?”
Grandma then explained that every dish went through the same thing. However, the three dishes reacted differently, producing different results. The carrot, which looked hard and strong, became soft after being subjected to a “test” such as boiling. Then the egg seemed fragile at first, the liquid in it was protected only by a shell, but when tested, it became hard, but not hard enough. Eventually, the coffee beans, they turned completely into something else.
Then the grandmother asked me, “Which of these are you?” When trials knock on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean? ”
A very unique way to explain to someone that not every storm is made to make our days harder, but to clean the way. Share this story if you like it!
