A man received an email from his father, two years after his death, here is what the man wrote to him.

A Reddit user who posts there under the name Bertie_McSlurp, shared some emotional excerpts from a message that his deceased father sent him during his lifetime through a special service of the site “FutureMe”, which allows that messages be sent to people after a period of one’s passing away.

The father, who obviously knew that he did not have much time in this world, writes that he hopes that his adult son “has adapted well enough in life, even without his father” and that he hopes that he will help his mother to face his death.

Here are the excerpts that were made public by my son, who says the rest of the letter is far too personal: “Hi, son, I’m talking to you beyond the grave, woooooo. I always told you I’d be back to haunt you. Seriously now, when you read this, I’ll be dead. I hope that when you read you will be well enough adapted to life even without your old father and that you will help your mother to do the same. I have complete confidence in you that you will be able to do this and take care of her as much as I did. I have a few thoughts that I want to convey to you, something that I haven’t been able to talk about in the last few months when I was still coherent (then morphine kind of turned me into a vegetable). The first thing I want to tell you is how proud I am of you. ”

The content of the rest of the email was kept by the son only for the eyes of the family.
