What do you do when a family member doesn’t answer the phone for too long? We don’t know what you’re doing, but this guy from Nebraska is ordering pizza.
Claire Olsen is 87 years old and lives in Palm Coast, Florida. This woman hadn’t answered the phone since Hurricane Matthew hit Florida. Her grandson, Eric, called Claire to make sure she was well and survived the hurricane. When the woman did not answer, he began to worry.
“I talked to her on Friday morning and she had no electricity. She told me it was a nightmare, and then I didn’t hear from her for two days, ” Eric said. He added: “I called the nearest police station, I also called the sheriff, no one answered, I was very worried.”
That’s when Eric came up with the brilliant idea to order a pizza for his grandmother!

“So, I thought, I’m going to order a pizza, and if she answers the door, then I know she’s alive,” Eric explained. What was written on the receipt? It was a courier request: “Please call this number when you reach the address.”
Grandma’s reaction is wonderful. Here’s what a grandson who really loves his grandmother has to do to know she’s safe:
