A poor worker who has been cultivating tea plants in India for 14 years treats the problems of others as if they were his own, here is his remarkable story.

For many people in India, Karimul Haque is known as the “ambulance man”, he started a free ambulance service, similar to an ambulance, only on his own motorcycle, every day he goes where he is called and transports patients to the closest hospital, and his efforts did not go unnoticed.
In January this year, Karim received the country’s highest award from the president of India and a great honor that is given only to people who put themselves at the service of others, the “Padma Shri” award, an award of excellence for helping others.

The 50-year-old man works on a Jalpaiguri tea plantation in India and receives a salary of $ 75 a month. If he receives an emergency call to work, his bosses are understanding enough and let him go to help the patient in need.
For Karim, the reason for his humanitarian action is a very personal one: “I lost my mother because I could not take her to the hospital on time. I don’t want anyone else to suffer the same thing. While I was thinking about it, this idea of a free ambulance came to me “, this is what Karimul told Deccan Chronicle.
The small hospital in his hometown is only equipped to care for patients with minor ailments, so the man is sometimes forced to drive his patients even 45 kilometers to the first and nearest large hospital.
When the locals found out that it was difficult for Karim to pay the loan he had made to buy his motorcycle, they put money so that this incredible man could continue his work for people: “I receive donations from teachers, police, sometimes even from students. That helps me go further with the ambulance for the needy ”.

Karim takes almost 100 people a month to the hospital for free, all with the help of a simple motorcycle. What seems like a small deed has so far saved the lives of thousands of people in 15 isolated villages in the last 14 years, since this man has been doing this!
