For months, this 7-year-old boy suffered from constant migraines, and doctors insisted that there was nothing wrong with him.

Emre Erulkeroglu had his first symptoms on Mother’s Day in 2015. Then he told his mother, Tiffani, that his head hurt very badly.

The woman remembers: “In just a few minutes he had gone into a state of dizziness, sitting on the couch and screaming in pain every time he vomited.”

“I took him to the emergency room, but his migraine had disappeared because he had vomited, so we were told to go home, they thought it was just a migraine,” adds the mother.

The morning pain continued for several weeks, so Tiffani took matters into her own hands and began searching the internet for answers. Thus, she came across an online campaign that talked about the symptoms that children have when they have brain tumors.

The woman noticed that her son also had all the symptoms, so he went back to the hospital and doctors to get answers.

Emre underwent several detailed tests after which the doctors assured her mother that her son was healthy! But a few weeks later, Emre drew something that made her mother think: it looked like a black dot on her forehead. The child told his mother that it was “a headache that never went away.”

Tiffani returned to the hospital and asked for something to be done for her baby. She was placed on a 4-month waiting list for a CT scan because the doctor did not consider it an urgent case.

Things got worse while they waited and the child’s mother noticed that for some time Emre was getting angry and getting angry because of nothing. For weeks she called the department of the hospital in charge of appointments, she continued to do so until they managed to speed up his appointment due to a cancellation.

After several visits to the hospital, they were told that Emre had a cystic tumor that was inoperable. Since then, Emre has undergone several complicated procedures, my mother confesses: “It took me 3 months, during which time I begged the doctors after a diagnosis. But now he is here, stable, and continuing his life “. Emre finally recovered.

Now the family is involved in the campaign that aims to popularize among parents the symptoms of brain tumors in children. All our respect to this mother who fought against doctors for her child’s life!
