She had just arrived in the restaurant parking lot when she noticed a bearded, uncombed man simply sitting on the curb!

Morissa was driving to work, she thought she would have a normal day, but she didn’t know how wrong she was. When not working as a make-up artist, the girl is a waitress at a fast-food restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona.

She had just arrived in the restaurant parking lot when she noticed a bearded, uncombed man simply sitting on the curb. She didn’t want to ignore him, so she asked him if he was okay. At this simple gesture of gentleness, the old man burst into tears. The girl will later write on Facebook: “I helped him get up from the ground and, holding his hand, I introduced myself. His name was Rick. I told him I was working at Hooters and that I would be happy to serve him. I put him at a table, telling him that he could order anything he wanted and that I would pay the bill. ”

The two began to talk, and the old man told Morrisa his story: he was from Ohio and was hit by a car. But he could not go to the hospital because he did not have any documents – not even an ID confirming his identity. Before leaving, Rick told her how grateful he was to the girl for her good deed, and gave her an unexpected gift.

Here’s how she tells it all:

“Today, when I arrived at work, I happened to see a man in the rearview mirror, sitting on the curb across the road. His name was Rick. I approached him and asked him if he was feeling well… he barely muttered a “no” and, looking down, began to cry out loud. I asked him if he was hungry… he replied that he was very hungry.

I helped him to his feet and ran my hand under his arm.

I introduced myself. I told him I was working at Hooters and that I would be happy to serve him. I put him at a table and told him to order whatever he wanted and that I would pay the bill. Customers at another table bought him a dessert. He was very grateful… He told me he came from Ohio and was hit by a car, but he couldn’t go to the hospital because he didn’t even have an ID. He showed me his chain, engraved with the inscription “Phillipians 4:13.” It was the only thing of value he had.

We cried together.

He finished eating and told me that he would never forget my face and name and that I had given him back his hope. I asked him if he agreed to take a picture together. He was delighted with this idea. He even pulled out a small comb and arranged his beard for our photo… how cute! When he was ready to leave, he took off his chain and handed it to me, telling me that he wanted me to keep it. I was dumbfounded. I am still.

This man gave me his only valuable thing. It is a debt I will never be able to repay.

I will never forget Rick and the few moments I spent with him. Please remember to be gentle. Remember to help where possible and be generous.

If you can, share this article as a reminder so that more people can send good thoughts to Rick and other homeless people who need them. Have a wonderful day. ”
