They had a travel problem that had become a matter of life and death!

In the winter of 2016, the Farris family, Nick and Jesse, had a travel problem that had become a matter of life and death. They needed to transport their 2-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, to a hospital in Chicago, because the next morning the little girl was going to have a liver transplant that would have saved her life.

Unfortunately, a snowstorm closed all the roads and the flights were canceled, and there were no signs that the situation would improve until the morning to allow them to arrive with the child on time.

The two parents had every chance against them, but they knew they would have to do anything to get the child to the hospital. She was born in China with a rare genetic disease that affects the liver. When the two found out about the girl’s situation, they decided to adopt her and help her recover.

Eventually, a close friend made a few phone calls and found out that sometimes the American courier company FedEx sometimes transports patients who are in a state of extreme emergency. When the company found out everything about their situation, the representatives immediately agreed to help them. In 30 minutes, the whole family, even the girl’s older sister, Rhet – adopted from Ethiopia, boarded a plane bound for Chicago.

Jesse told US Weekly: “I remember looking at Nick and just nodding because everything was incredible, all afternoon and evening events.”

The next morning the operation lasted 10 hours but was a success. After a month of hospitalization, the little girl was strong enough to return home. And all thanks to a courier company!
