The incident took place in a rural area near Glasgow, in May 2016, around 6 PM local time. People initially heard various sounds but did not realize where they came from.
Separated from his flock, a lamb fell into a crack in the ground. His luck was that two men walking in the field at that moment heard the whine of the animal and did everything possible to get him out of the pit where he fell. Saving the animal was not easy. It seems that the lamb was trapped between the pieces of land, and the Scots had no idea how to proceed to free it.
Lacking inspiration, but eager to help, the two men did their best to restore the animal’s freedom. Searching with his hand, one of them found the animal’s neck and began to gently pull it out. All the while, his walking colleague filmed the entire scene.
“As far as we know, the lamb is fine and returned with his mother,” wrote one of the rescuers in the description of the video posted on YouTube, according to the Daily Mail.
