Firefighters were shocked by what they had to do to save a newborn baby.
It all took place in a hospital in China where women reported for a whole day a sound that sounded like a strange cry in the women’s toilet of Xinping Hospital in China’s Yunnan Province. The hospital staff went to inspect the sounds, but could not find the baby, so they decided to call the fire department after realizing that the little one was trapped in the sewer pipes, covered in fresh blood.
It seems that the little one was born in that bathroom and had been abandoned by his mother immediately after birth, but not only that, his mother put him in the toilet and drew water after him. The baby thus reached the central pipes of the sewer, which connect all the toilets of the hospital.
Firefighters had a very difficult task to do: to save the baby without hurting him more than he had already been injured. The water was turned off and the ceramic pipes were broken piece by piece, the firefighters finally managed to save the little one a few seconds before he could slip even further into the pipe. The baby was immediately taken to intensive care to receive appropriate treatment.
Authorities are now looking for the mother of the child who is believed not to have been hospitalized and who entered the hospital only to abandon her baby.
