A doctor rushed to the hospital after being called for an emergency operation. He answered the call quickly, changed his clothes, and went straight to the unit where he was to operate. There, in the waiting room, he found the father of a boy walking left and right agitatedly, waiting for the doctor. Seeing that he had arrived, the father shouted:
“What took you so long to come?” Don’t you know my son is in danger? Don’t you know what that responsibility is?
The doctor smiled and said:
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital and I came as soon as I was called… And now please calm down so I can do my job.”
“Calm down?” If your son was in the next room right now, would you calm down? If our son dies now, what will you do? said the father angrily.
The doctor smiled again and replied, “I will answer you with a quote from the Bible: we have come from the ashes and we will return to the ashes, blessed be the name of the Lord.” Doctors can’t prolong lives. Go and pray for your son, we will do everything in our power here, with the will of the Lord ”.
“It’s very easy to give advice when you’re not involved,” the father muttered.
The operation lasted several hours, after which the doctor left the operating room happy: “Thank God, his son is saved!” And without waiting for his father’s answer, he continued on his way, running away: “If you have any questions, ask the nurses !!”.
The father asked a nurse a few minutes later, “Why is he so arrogant?” He could wait a few minutes to ask about my son’s condition. “
The nurse replied, with tears in her eyes: “His son died yesterday in a car accident, he was at the funeral when I called him for your son’s operation. And now that he has saved your son’s life, he has run away to return to the funeral. “
The moral would be this: never judge anyone because you will never know what their life is like and what they are going through.
