Michelle Davey posted a shocking photo on Twitter, here is the truth behind it.
The image was captured in Vancouver, a city that has a big problem with the number of people abusing a synthetic drug called fentanyl, which seems to be much stronger than heroin and much cheaper. Vancouver paramedics have to treat more than 130 overdoses with the substance in one day.
What is the shocking story behind the image? The photo shows three white eggs that have been carefully placed on dozens of syringes in the sink of an abandoned hotel which is the main place were addicts of this banned substance come from. The pigeons made their nests out of syringes.
Here is what Sergeant Randy Fincham said about the image: “The photo was made public to show the reality of the use of banned substances in our city and around the world, and to show what those who try every day to help them face. these people ”.
Shocking is the fact that pigeons have been put in a position to use something that is not part of nature, something that does harm and expresses a tragic reality, to fulfill a natural role… This is the true picture of the abuse of prohibited substances and their effect on the whole world and nature. At the same time, this image shows how much it affects people the natural balance of other living things.
