73 years of slavery! Poor elephant saved from a rough life full of pain and misery

Elephants are amazing and if you’re not convinced, here are three known facts about these marvelous mammals: They’re the world’s largest land animal, their communication form is made through vibrations, and guess what? The tusks are actually teeth. Pretty interesting, right? But these animals are usually used for greedy purposes, by vicious humans with absolutely no sense of appreciation for them. They only know the smell of money, and that’s all. In this article, you will find out about Sook Jai’s story, which is not so nice, but the ending at least will make your heart melt.

Sook Jai was very lucky because she was saved at some point, late but fortunately not too late by people with big hearts and no fear. The poor animal endured for no less than 73 years, in these years she was forced to do whatever his master commanded. She lost an eye and also remained deaf with one year during the “training” sessions. Thanks to a foundation, she was saved. It was a very difficult task for the “Save Elephant” foundation, they needed almost an entire day to transport the abused elephant to a special reservation, dedicated to saved elephants.

She had worked her entire life but thanks to the hand of people, she will finally enjoy the freedom she deserved. During the transportation, it was very cold at night, so they had to move her inside a truck to avoid the cold wind. During the day it was very hot so the people cool her down using water and taking the cover of the truck off. Something amazing happened when Sook Jai realized that she is finally free. People noticed that the huge animal was crying, after tasting a sip of freedom. She is so sweet playing in nature, covered in mud, and spitting water everywhere.

Save Elephant Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Thailand and they provide rehabilitation, rescue, and care for the elephants in need and they are well known for their noble missions. They provide good assistance and care to captive elephants.

It’s so good to see that there are people out there interested in the wellbeing of these magnificent animals. Let’s share her story and spread awareness about this subject! Share with your friends and family, make Sook Jai story’s heard.
