Danijela Kovacevic from Vojvodina fell ill in 2009 when she gave birth to her daughter, Marija. She contracted sepsis during childbirth and remained in a vegetative state, according to Metro.

Now Daniela suddenly recovered from her coma, which surprised Serbian doctors, who had never encountered such a case. The woman thus met her little girl for the first time, seven years after her birth.

“After coming home from school, Marija stays with her mother every day. It comforts her, makes her laugh “, said a family friend.

Daniela’s father, Djordje Kovacevic, talked about how she can’t hold a notebook or pen in her hand.

 

“It’s hard to recover, but Danijela feels better. She’s started to gain weight, she’s more lively. She reacts, laughs, and also gets nervous, “said the man.

Danijela is recovering at a center in Germany, but she needs 50,000 euros to continue her treatment. Her family and friends are trying to raise the necessary money.
