Justin Rozier lost his father when he was only 9 months old. Army 1st Lieutenant Jonathan Rozier died while serving in Iraq. As he grew older, Justin increasingly missed his father and made a collection, a box that he keeps in his place of honor, in which he keeps things that belonged to his father, such as clothes, dog tags, photos, or watches. His father’s car, a 1999 Toyota Supra convertible, a car his mother had to sell because she couldn’t afford to pay the loan anymore. By the time he was 16, Jordan had begun to think more and more about that car and how proud he would be to maneuver the steering wheel used by his father.
