However, sometimes there are less pleasant situations, such as the one in the next article in which the employee has to show understanding and respect. The hairdresser could hardly control her reaction when she saw what was in front of her eyes.

The event takes place in a beauty salon. The hairdresser, Lucy, was waiting for the client who had an appointment in that chilly autumn afternoon, after she had prepared and disinfected all the utensils she used. Lucy knew how important it was to clean up the tools used to prevent contamination. so every time, make sure everything is clean and tidy.

Finally, the client appeared, a tall lady with long hair.  She sat down on the chair and asked the hairdresser to cut only her tips. Then she sat down with her neck on the stand for the hairdresser to wash her hair with shampoo. At that moment, Lucy felt something strange in her hair, so she looked better to see what it was all about.

The woman’s hair was full of lice, those disgusting insects that feed on blood and live on her hair. Lice feed many times a day with blood and if they can last up to two days without food. Nits do not last more than a week, because they must stay at a certain temperature to be able to hatch.

Seeing that the hair was full of nits, the woman told the client that she had to apply specific treatment immediately to remove those insects and also that it was very important to avoid contact with people and to keep a distance to reduce the infestation chances. The woman listened to her and left, very ashamed, but she knew she had this problem. It is known that lice cause severe itching in the capillary area. A very disturbing incident for the hairdresser, let’s hope the client didn’t infest the salon! Pass this story to your friends and family!
