When the two parents returned home, they saw a broken scene from their worst nightmares

Alicia Quinney and Joshua Marbury live in Sherwood, USA, and were forced to feel all the shortcomings of the judiciary.

One day they decided to go out and leave their one-year-old son, Jacob, in the care of a nanny. When the two parents returned home, they saw a broken scene from their worst nightmares: little Jacob was drowning in tears, and the nanny was asleep.

In addition to this horrible scene, the child was also bruised on his body and the imprint of a palm was clearly visible on his cheeks.

Of course, the parents were outraged and the next day they filed a complaint in court. Although the case may seem quite clear to us, it seems that the judges did not have enough evidence to punish the nanny, so she did not pay in any way for her deeds.

It seems that local laws consider that if harm is done to a minor, the suspect will be convicted only if the victim can make a relevant statement, but given that Jacob is only one year old, he cannot tell how.

The mother, very angry, posted on Facebook all the photos she took after finding her son was beaten, then described in detail the whole situation. Her post sparked a burst of resentment, people empathized with her family’s situation and shared her post more than 15,000 times in just 24 hours.

Only due to the resentments expressed by many people a group of lawyers decided to prepare corrections of the law, in order to change the criminal procedure in the case of very young children or people with disabilities or developmental disorders, who can not describe what nightmare they have been.

Let’s hope that this story will change something, not only in the USA but in the whole world. If it moved you, we invite you to share it with your friends!
