Maria Mancia suffered in 1995 something that is probably the worst nightmare. The woman returned home as usual but discovered that her 1-year-old son, Steven, had disappeared without a trace from her home in California. The woman quickly realized that the little one had been abducted. And, to make matters worse, the one who had entered his house was someone she knew very well.
The kidnapper had taken all the child’s documents, including a photograph of his ultrasound. Eventually, it turned out that Steven had been abducted by Maria’s ex-boyfriend, who was also the child’s father. But other than that, no one knew where he had taken him, it was as if he had disappeared without a trace. All that was left for the poor mother was a picture that her aunt had, she had sent it to Maria so that she would have something to remind her of the child and to have an image that could help the police bring him back.

But one day, 21 years later, something unexpected happened, something that will help the police solve Maria’s son’s case. An American citizen named Steven had enrolled to study law at a school in Puebla, Mexico. When the police received this information, they decided to contact the young man to find out more about his past.
They asked him about his biological father and he replied that he had left. Then a DNA analysis clearly showed that Steven was Maria’s lost son. Steven did not know that he had been kidnapped as a child, he did not know that his mother was alive and that he had dedicated her whole life to find him. No one knew that he had 4 more brothers who could hardly wait to meet him.
When his mother met him again, the two burst into tears. Steven said: “I lived without my mother all this time, and then I found out after so many years that she was alive, but in another country, I was overwhelmed.”
