It’s hard to say that I was shocked, amazed, almost paralyzed. I think I screamed!

It was a normal day for Jane Fine Foster, she was walking downtown Grand Junction, Colorado, when she saw something she didn’t even know what to believe.

In the window of an antique shop called “A Robin’s Nest” was a photograph of her mother that had been taken at her wedding in 1948. But that would not be the only strange discovery that Jane would make that day.

When she saw the image, she couldn’t believe her eyes, she didn’t think her mother was there in the photo. A decade ago, that image had been auctioned off after Jane’s family forgot to pay for a storage unit, where more family items were placed for which there was no room left in the house.

From there, the trace of the objects was lost. When Jane saw the picture, she recognized it immediately and hurried into the store. She took the picture, looked around, and made a shocking discovery. There was also her mother’s wedding dress, wrapped in a newspaper that was dated June 22, 1948.

The woman told WNYT television: “It’s hard to say that I was shocked, amazed, almost paralyzed. I think I screamed! ” Jane asked how much they asked for the dress, she wanted so badly to take it home, to take it back to where it belonged, to her family… But the answer was much more generous than expected.

The salesman said that he could not take any money from her, he also told her that he was happy that that dress had found its way to its rightful owner. The two objects had finally arrived home. Jane was in the ninth heaven, she remembered all sorts of memories with her mother, but she still can’t understand the coincidence: “How come that picture came to the window the same day I came to town?” I still can’t believe it! ”
